Overtuned Modulators + Savage Opress

Savage Opress gives a focus when you gain stress or Strain.

Overtuned Modulators gives you a strain for left over Greens in the end phase.

So if you have a focus from that turn and you lose it at the end of the turn, and gain a strain from the Overtuned Modulators as it has no charge, Savage Opress can give that ship a focus. But can that ship keep the new focus from Savage Opress, as green tokens have already been removed?

Savage Opress "After a friendly ship in your Front Arc at range 1-2 gains a stress or strain token, you may spend 1 Force. If you do, that ship gains 1 focus token."

Overtuned Modulators "During the System Phase, if you are not stressed, you may spend 1 Charge to gain 3 calculate tokens.

During the End Phase, if your Charge is inactive, for each green token you remove, gain 1 strain token."

END PHASE
The End Phase is the fifth phase of the round. During the End Phase, the
following occur in this order:

1. Abilities that occur "at the start of the End Phase" form an ability queue
   and resolve.
2. Abilities that occur "during the End Phase" form an ability queue and resolve.
3. All circular tokens are removed from all ships (green, then orange).
4. Each card with a recurring charge icon recovers that many charges. Each
   card with a negative recurring charge icon loses that many charges.
   After this phase, the criteria for winning the game are checked. If the game
   did not end, the Planning Phase of the next round begins.

No, you can't keep the focus gained using Savage Oppress because his ability triggers during step 2 of the End Phase. This is how the chain is resolved:

• Overtune Modulators effect triggers at step 2 of the End Phase, the player establishes how many green token will be removed and the ship with Overtuned Modulators gets a matching amount of strain tokens.
• Savage Oppress triggers when strain tokens are assigned, replacing one strain with a focus.
• all green tokens, including the focus gained from Savage, are removed during step 3 of the End Phase.
• Save Oppress force charge is recovered during step 4 of the End Phase.
