A unified, volunteer-driven community stewarding the X-Wing Tabletop Miniatures Game. By the community. For the community.

The X-Wing Alliance (XWA) is a centralized community effort and resource for the Star Wars X-Wing tabletop gaming community — aimed at the continuation of the game system and its organized play activities after the end of development and support from its publisher.
XWA was formed in response to the announcement by Atomic Mass Games (AMG) in June 2024 that the development of X-Wing (and Armada) would be ending, with limited Organized Play support continuing until the conclusion of the season in March 2025. The announcement marked the end of official updates and support for the beloved tabletop games, leaving a void for the passionate community of players and organizers.
XWA was established to ensure the continuation of X-Wing's development and organized play beyond AMG's involvement. The Alliance aims to pick up where AMG left off — focusing on maintaining and evolving the game system while also supporting competitive play during and after the current season. XWA is a community-driven initiative, created by and for the fans, with the goal of preserving the game that so many have come to love.
The leadership of XWA is composed of well-known figures within the community: tournament organizers, content creators, and other contributors who have been instrumental in supporting X-Wing over the years — all active on the X-Wing Discord Server, and supported by a committee of like-minded individuals, all dedicated to the cause. The current council and committee are listed below.
XWA represents a collective effort to keep the spirit of X-Wing alive, driven by a shared passion for the game and a commitment to ensuring its legacy continues.
We proactively encourage everyone everywhere to play the game we all love through enthusiastic community building, measured game adjustments, and exciting organized play support.
We are stewards of X-Wing: Tabletop Miniatures Game in lieu of any official development and support.
We are a unified team of the community, representing the community, and acting for the community.
We will actively pursue initiatives that maintain, develop and promote the growth of the game.
We reflect the needs of the X-Wing community and will always put players at the heart of our decisions.
We believe X-Wing is for everyone, and everyone should play the X-Wing game mode of their choice. We support all variants and ways of playing X-Wing.
We will find new and exciting ways to make X-Wing fun and thrilling to play, both casually and competitively. We believe in Organized Play as a powerful catalyst for growing the game.
We know that the history of X-Wing has caused fractures and animosity in the player base. We strive to heal these rifts and bring players together.
We bring our individual expertise and work together to create something much bigger and more powerful than we possibly could on our own.
The Council manages the agenda of the Committee and holds it accountable. It structures the XWA and ensures it is working toward the Mission, encourages the Values and enforces the Code of Conduct, mediates differences and helps settle arguments in an unbiased and objective way, and is the face of the Alliance to the outside world.
The Committee is made up of a number of Lead roles, as defined, structured and appointed by the Council. Committee Leads may be relieved of their duties by the Council at any time. All Committee roles are assumed to expire with the Council that appointed them.
The XWA is not an exclusive or closed group and we will always consider adding the right people into the XWA when the opportunity arises. As a working group, we only bring in people once we are certain they will have the time and desire to commit to a given role.
Recruitment is at the discretion of the Council, but any Member may nominate a person for a role in the XWA. Ideally, these individuals should be drawn from those who have expressed an interest in working with the XWA.
