Dear rules people,

Strut-Lock Override:
At the start of your activation, you may spend 1 (Charge). If you do, ignore obstacles while you move through them this round.

If you spend one of the charges from the Strut-Lock Override and then Maneuvre over an obstacle, so the maneuvre template overlaps at the rear of the ship but the base ends on top of the Obstacle.

During that ships action step, can you then barrel roll/boost off the obstacle as you ignore them while moving through them this turn?

Or does overlapping the obstacle trigger the effect of the obstacle? (I realise Overlapping and moving through are different things.)

Thanks

Strut-Lock Override specifically says "move through", so the effect is limited to movements where the ship doesn't overlap the obstacle with its base. The effect applies also to barrel roll or boost actions.
